Daniel Lake (1696-1778)
Annette Truesdell note sent 12 Jul 2016
BIRTH:  bp 26 April 1696, "Daniel to Jan Leek and Neeltje Claasen" per Brooklyn DRC records.
MARR:  Per Adams/Risley:  He married Elizabeth Van Sutphen, dau of Derick Janse Van Sutphen and Elizabeth Janse Van Nuyse, who was born 6 Apr 1699, d. 1 Aug 1766.  (Early Settlers).
CHILDREN:  Per Adams/Risley:  John; Dirck; Daniel, b. 23 Jul 1730; Maria, bp. 10 Jun 1733; Abraham, bp 5 Sep 1735; Margaret, bp 22 Feb 1739; Helena, bp 31 Aug 1740.  Daughter, Neltie, m. 18 Nov 1756 to Bernardus Hubbard.  Jacobus, Geertje, Sarah and Elizabeth are also listed as Daniel's children per Bergen.  However, Jacobus was the son of Nicholas Lake and so is not included in this record as a son of Daniel.. Have also not included Margaret or Geertje (may be same as Margaret) in family group since she is also the dau of Nicholas Lake, not Daniel.
