Will of Stephen Hore 1637 will (Transcript) In the name of God Amen. The fifeenth daye of Marche Anno domino 1637 I Steven Hore the elder of the parishe of Roche in the Countye of Cornewall yeoman being sick in boddye but perfect in mynde and memorye laude and prayse be geiven to Almightie God doe make and ordayne this my laste will and Testament in manner and form followeinge- First I bequeath my soule into the handes of Almightie God my maker and Redeermer and my boddue to christian burial. Iten i geive and bequeath towardes the Resparacons of the Church of Roche aforesaid Ten shillings Item I geive and bequeath vnto the poore of Roche aforesaid Ten shillings ^to be for a continuall stock for the poore^ Item I geive devise and assigne vnto Katherin my wiffe All that parte of my Tenement of Treseble within the parishec of Roche which I holde by lease from John Coll of St. Cleere in the County aforesaid gent To haue and holde vnto the said Katherin and he assignes duringe her Natural life annd after her decease my will and meaninge is That the said parte shall come vnyo John Hore during the Naturall life of my sonne Robert Hore and Farther I geivedevise and assigne vnto my said wiffe All those houses and grounds in - Polskeyes alias Polteskayes which is now in the possesion of Stephen West and all that one Close in Rosemollyn which is now in the possession of William Cork To Have and to holde the said houses grounde and Close of land vnto the said Katherin and her assignes duringe her Natural life. Item I farther geive and bequeath vnto my saide wiffe one wilde Cowe and Calf which she now hath and one \graye\ ^Reddd^ Mare the Colte of the Mare which I haue solde to John Came and my best bedd with the furniture therof. Item I geive and bequeth vnto my son Robert Hore one yeowe and to euery of his children xij/d pence. Item I geive and bequeth vnto my son Lancelott one yeowe and to euery of his children xij/d pence. Item I geive and bequeth vnto Anne my daughter one yeowe and to euery of his children xij/d Item I geive and bequeth vnto my grandchild Stephen Hore the sonne of John Hore after the death of my wiffe and my sonne John my Silver salte saller and a dosen of silver spoones and to euery of my sonne John Hores children xij/d a pence Item I geive until William Hunnywill the writer hereof v/s. The residew of all my goodes and Chattalls not given or bequeathed I geive and bequeath vnto Katherin my wiffe and John Hore my sonne whome I make and ordaine my full and whole exectores of this my last will and testament.
