To His Excellency Peter Hunter Estr. Lieutenant Governor
of the Province of Upper Canada and Lieutenant General
Commanding His Majestys Forces in the Provinces of Upper
and Lower Canada, In Council
 
                  The petition of Sarah Ward
Daughte of Christopher Lake UE: of Ernestown Midland District
of this Province - humbly sheweth that your petitioner is
now of Age and is married to James Ward of said town & a
District Yeoman. Therefore your petitioner humbly pray
your Excellency would order that she be allowed two hun=
dred acres of Land, and your petitioner will as in Duty
bound every pray

        I do hereby Certify that I was present when Sarah
Ward, the above named petitioner signed the foregoing petiti
=on, and I do furhter Certify that the petitioner is the person
she Describers herself to be, and that she is Married to James -
Ward, and that She never has to my knowledge and Belief
received and Land or order for Land from the Crown
          Daniel Frazer C:P.
 
                    Personally appeared Sarah Ward before
me Daniel Fraser one of His Majesty's Justices of the
                                                               Peace

upon the Holy Evangelist maketh Oath and saith that she
is now of Age and married to James Ward, and that she never
received Land nor Order for Lands from the Crown --
