James Butson - Rebecca Fitchett - Marriage

His mother's name is entered as both groom's mother's name (age 67) and as bride's name (age 56). Rebecca's name is not on the document, but her parents' names are in the bride's parents' columns. ---- The source of the image is Reel 11 of Archives of Ontario MS248 "Marriage Registers" 1858-June 1869. The full series includes reels 5-18. Reel 11 contains Ontario County and Ottawa. ----- The Ontario County marriages are in 3 volumes. Volume 1 covers 1858-1863 (223 double numbered pages, with page 2 not included). Volume 2 covers 1863-1866 (75 double pages). Volume 3 covers 1867-1869 (45 double pages). ----- The Ottawa marriages are in two groups. (1) 4 single pages covering 1859-186? and (2) 193 single pages of "Carleton County - Ottawa" ----- I purchased a copy of this reel 5 May 1973 from the Archives of Ontario for Can$10. Wesley Johnston
