This is a limited one-place study of Upper Canada's Ernestown Township in Lennox and Addington County during the period of settlement by Loyalists and shortly after, thus about 1785-1840. I am still working on defining the geographical and temporal limits. Tentatively, the geography extends from Sidney and Radwon Townships in Hastings County on the west to Loughborough and Stonington Townships in Frontenac County on the east.
At this point, this web page is just a stub on which to gather some relevant links as I work on defining the scope. I am experimenting with using "Name and Place" software for capturing the specifics on people and places and relationships. -- Wesley Johnston
