In 1825, two children named Mary Henwood were baptized at St. Blazey, Cornwall.

26 Jun 1825 - Mary Anne Raymond Henwood
daughter of Roger Henwood and Elizabeth Hender; abode "Town" meaning the town of St. Blazey itself

31 Jul 1825 - Mary Henwood
daughter of  Richard Henwood and Thomasin Hambly; abode "Ch. Town" which probably meant Church Town, the town of St. Blazey which was where the parish church was, but could also have meant Charles Town in the parish of St. Austell just to the west of St. Blazey

One of these two children died and was buried at St. Blazey 30 Nov 1826. Her abode was "Ch. Town", but since both of the girls were apparently born in the town of St. Blazey that does not help.

After careful consideration, I have concluded that the child who died was probably the Mary Henwood who was the daughter of Richard and Thomasin. This is because the next daughter that was born to them after 1826 was given the name Mary Ann (baptized 18 Jul 1830 at Tywardreath). It was a very common custom at that time that when a chid died, then a later child -- often the next one -- of the same gender would be given the same name.

Wayne Henwood of New Zealand has provided images of a number of records, including the 1845 death record of Mary Anne Raymond Henwood, that confirms that she had survived, so that the child of Richard and Thomasin was the child who died in 1826.
