Bedrich Nevole's Ancestry

Overview

This document is intended to record how I have pieced together the ancestry of Bedrich Nevole, who was known as Fred Nevole in the United States. A question raised by his descendant Debi Dearmore made me realize that I have a lot of information on his ancestry in my tree but have not recorded how I came to include the individuals as his ancestors. So I need to go back over the information and record here how the evidence supports the ancestry that I have for him.

Bedrich's Parents

We know from the 22 Nov 1887 marriage record of Bedrich Nevole and Anna Klepetko in the Hradiste Czech Brethren records that his parents were:

• Father: Karel Nevole of Hranice #1, okres Chotebor
• Mother: Anna, daughter of jakub Stehno Jenikovec #2, okres Chotebor

The record identifies Bedrich as Roman Catholic, so that his baptismal record is not in the Czech Brethren records. The Catholic records for Hranice are not yet on the Zamrsk Archives web site. So I have not yet seen his baptismal record.

Bedrich and Anna's first four children were baptized in the Czech Brethren church, and their records also give the names and house numbers of Bedrich's parents:

• Ruzena - Born 26 Dec 1884 - Baptized 3 Jan 1885 (this recorc contains Bedrich's signature; she was born illegitimate but later legitimized when her parents married)
• Anna - Born 25 Jan 1887 - Baptized 31 Jan 1887 (this recorc contains Bedrich's signature; she was born illegitimate but later legitimized when her parents married)
• Rudolf - Born 13 Jun 1889 - Baptized 20 Jun 1889
• Frantisek - Born 2 July 1891 - Baptized 12 July 1891
