Joseph Francis Sprosty (son of Joseph Sprosty and Veronica Gonda) was born 14 February 1850 in Tabor Bohemia, and died 05 November 1931 in Eastman, Crawford, WI. He married Mary Wall on 17 November 1874 in Eastman, Crawford, WI, daughter of Jacob Wall and Catherine (Holly) Hosmon.

Joseph F. Sprosty was born Feb 14, 1850, died Nov. 5, 1931. He came from Bohemia with his parents when eight years old and lived on a farm near Eastman. He was united in marriage to Mary Wall in 1874, to this union twelve children were born of which seven preceded him in death, five in infancy, Wencle in 1918 during the World War and James in 1930.
Those left to mourn are his wife, Mary, sons Louis and Joseph of Eastman; daughters, Mrs. Frank Mezera and Mrs. George Pulda of Eastman, 32 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Anna of Eastman, Mrs. Mary Iverson of Ames, Iowa.
