Who was the mother of Katerina Machota wife of Jan Nevole?

Overview

The 24 Sep 1850 baptism at Caslav of Katerina MACHOTA's son Josef NEVOLE shows her father as Martin MACHOTA from Svetla (nad Sazavou) #27 and her mother as Eva KAVKA of Janovice # 18. (== Čáslav 10, im 229, p 451 == https://ebadatelna.soapraha.cz/d/4638/229).

However, the 3 Feb 1845 marriage of Jan NEVOLE and Katerina MACHOTA at Svetla nad Sazavou (sig3045-Parish Svetla nad Sazavu-O-1837-1878-C I, page 19) shows her father as Martin MACHOTA of Svetla #23 and mother Barbora NOVK of ?Lestina? #1.

So, was Katerina MACHOTA's mother Eva KAVKA or Barbora NOVAK? Or were there two separate marriages of a Jan NEVOLE and a Katerina MACHOTA?

Childhood Family Records of Katerina MACHOTA

The ideal record to answer the question would be the baptismal record of Katerina MACHOTA. However, the indexes for Svetla nad Sazavou and for Sazavka have no such record. I searched the parish of Sazavka because Katerina's 1901 death record at Caslav shows her as from Backov which is in the parish of Sazava.

Similarly, I have yet to find a marriage record of her parents, although I have not yet pressed that search.

Baptisms of children of Jan NEVOLE and Katerina MACHOTA

I have not found the baptism of her oldest son Jan NEVOLE, born about 1844. It is not in the Sazava nor the Svetla nad Sazavou indexes.

Her second child Vaclav NEVOLE was baptized 4 Oct 1848 at Caslav. The record shows her mother as Eva KAVKA. (http://ebadatelna.soapraha.cz/d/4638/95)

As noted in the overview, her third child Josef NEVOLE was baptized 24 Sep 1850 at Caslav. The record shows her mother as Eva KAVKA. (== Čáslav 10, im 229, p 451 == https://ebadatelna.soapraha.cz/d/4638/229)

Her fourth child Antonin Padua NEVOLE was baptized 22 Dec 1852 at Caslav. The record shows her mother as Eva KAVKA. (http://ebadatelna.soapraha.cz/d/4638/382)

Her fifth known child Frantisek NEVOLE is known only through the 10 May 1876 Caslav record of his stillborn son so that I have not found Frantisek's baptism.

Her sixth known child Ferdinand NEVOLE was baptized 26 Mar 1859 at Caslav. The record shows her mother as Eva KAVKA. (http://ebadatelna.soapraha.cz/d/4639/411)

Her seventh and last known child Karel Mikolas NEVOLE was baptized 7 Dec 1864 at Caslav. The record shows her mother as Eva KAVKA. (http://ebadatelna.soapraha.cz/d/4640/374)

Conclusion 1 (Strong): Katerina MACHOTA's mother was Eva KAVKA.

All of the baptisms of Katerina MACHOTA's children give her mother's name as Eva KAVKA.

Was the 3 Feb 1845 marriage at Svetla of Jan NEVOLE and Katerina MACHOTA the same couple who had those children?

I have not found a marriage record at Caslav for the couple. It is possibe that the 1845 marriage is them but that Katerina MACHOTA's name is given wrong in the record. Did her father remarry with Barbora NOVAK so that when she married the priest thought Barbora was her mother? I do not know.

Conclusion 2 (Weak): The 3 Feb 1845 marriage was the same couple, but the wife's mother's name in the record was erroneous.

At this time, this is my working hypothesis. It is very much subject to correction if new information provides evidence that it requires correction.
