A retired mental health administrator for Contra Costa County and former Paradise resident, Virginia Heebink, 83, died Dec. 4 at Lanfair Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lancaster, Ohio.

She was born in Eau Claire, Wis., to parents Ivan and Hazel June Allen Mikesell.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth George Heebink of Rockbridge, Ohio; son, Dennis Heebink and his wife, Susan, of Rockbridge, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Her sister preceded her in death.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

At the family's request, memorial contributions may be made to the United Cerebral Palsy Fund of Central Ohio in honor of her granddaughter, Benaye Barbara Cook. UCP of Central Ohio, Attn: Development, 440 Industrial Mile Rd., Columbus, OH 43228.
