UPDATE 11 Aug 2023: The records are now online, and there is no doubt that the 2011 configuration is the correct one. The parents of Johannes Schaumburg were Philip Schaumburg and Anna Elizabeth Theis. And I am now carrying him in my tree with his correct parents.
There are two different sets of parents that have been assigned to Johannes Schaumburg (1809-1866) by two research efforts, one in 1981 and one in 2011. My Gelis-Schaumburg-Staack tree on Ancestry.com reflects the 1981 findings. But I am not convinced that they are correct.
The problem is that images of the records for Hesse-Kassel have been thus far impossible to obtain within my resource limits. So it is impossible for me to say which of the configurations is correct.
1981 Configuration
The 1981 configuration came from my own notes as the pastor at Borken and my sister and I sat at his dining room table with the church books and tried to find entries on the family. It was difficult for all of us, including the pastor, to read the old script. But we thought at the time that we had figured out the lineage. How many times since then I have wished that I had used up some of my precious camera film and taken pictures of those pages!!! But I did not.
In this 1981 configuration, the parents of Johannes were Adam Schaumburg and Anna Maria Simmen who lived at Grossenenglis.

2011 Configuration
The 2011 configuration came from Gustaf Eichbaum's research at the archives in Kassel. (The church books were moved to the archives at some point after 1981.) His research seems to be accurate on other aspects, which lends weight to his configuration of the parents of Johannes.
In this 2011 configuration, the parents of Johannes were Philip Schaumburg and Anna Elisabeth Theis who lived at Kerstenhausen, where Johannes was born.
