John Wesley Butson - Gravestone - July 2, 1902 - May 10, 1903 - Hillsboro (ND) Cemetery #1 The cemetery is about a mile north of town, across the river, just east of I29. To reach it, drive into town on Caledonia, and turn left at the 4-way stop (1st Street NE) just east of the RR tracks. Then go north until you reach all the cemeteries. Go left over the tracks as far as the westernmost cemetery, adjacent to I29. The lot is in the southern section nearly at the SE corner and is marked by the large pine tree growing right in the middle of the lot. There are four stones: John Wesley, Sarah, Solomon, and Clythe. == photographed 4 Jul 2012 by Wesley Johnston [descendant of Solomon's cousin Emma (Butson) Johnston] |
