Sidney Man, 82, Victim of Fire Sidney - Fred (Pop) Johnston, 82, was burned to death Thursday in fire ignited as he was filling his cigarette lighter with fluid. The accident occurred about 11 a.m. Attendants at Richland Hoem [sic] for the aged, where Johnston had lived one year, were in the lunchroom, so Johnston was not found immediately. Nurses aides put out the fire on his clothing, but Johnston sustained burns over 90 percent of his body. He died in Sidney hospital at 6:45 p.m.
